What does a Music Producer Do❓

A Music Producer writes, arranges, produces and records songs for other artists or for their own musical projects. They have important roles to make good quality music by overseeing the whole production, which include gather ideas, propose changes to the song arrangement, get the right music for recording sessions, coaching the artistes in the studio, liaise with the audio engineering as well as supervising the final mix etc. In the era of Musicpreneur, producers also often take on a wider entrepreneurial role, with responsibility for the budget, schedules, contracts, and negotiations, but not only the creative side of the music production.

MusicPRODUCER is a course designed for musicians who would like to learn the whole process of creating a song using the DAW. It also train producer who want to enhance their skill on forming a team, learn to produce music that create corporate value with the understanding of copyright, licensing and also music business aspect such as dealing on sales.

MusicPRODUCER (Level Foundation, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4) 

Info, tips and industry secrets for music production, music software and music business in general will be shared in this module. Candidate need to hands-on the overall workflow and procedure in production a song. Teaching will be based on pop music

Learner Outcome

  1. You will be able to compose and sequence your own song with basic vocal recording.

  2. Candidate will be to understand and define key theoretical concepts and principles pertaining to audio and music recording and production

  3. Candidate will be able to use the MIDI protocol for professional music production and synchronisation applications

  4. Candidate will be able to use computers for professional audio applications 

  5. Candidate will be able to create original studio work while developing listening and technical skills for audio production.

  6. Candidate will be able to plan, document and evaluate a group recording project in a detailed log book

  1. Age 12 or above (Audition needed for age below 12)

  2. Anyone who wish to create own music or re-producing a cover song

  3. Anyone who wish to become a songwriter, producer or youtuber

Duration

12 months (72hours), 1.5-hour per lesson.

Course Fee

*Course Fee included Home Studio Equipments:

Midi Controller, Audio Interface, Headphone, Condenser Microphone, Monitor Speaker, XLR cable, Pop filter, Mic Stand, Quarter Inch Cable, E-Book, and Program Kit.

Exam

Foundation Level

One (1) cover song to be produce, examine by the academic panel.

Level 1,2,3,4

  1. Four Test in each level.

  2. Two (2) original songs and one (1) cover song production to be produce for final assessment, examine by the academic panel and evaluate by real-world producers.

Scholarship applicable for Diploma in Musicpreneur upon completion of course
